Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly analytical Remote Fleet Efficiency Analyst to join a national freight and logistics operation. You will collect and analyze data on fleet usage, fuel, maintenance, and driver behavior, translating insights into actionable improvements for fleet performance across the country.

The role requires a strong quantitative background, superb reporting skills, and the ability to work independently in a fully remote setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, OR/ Logistics).
• 4+ years of data analysis experience in fleet, transport, or logistics.
• Proficiency in SQL, Python or R, and advanced Excel.
• Experience with BI/data visualization tools (Tableau/Power BI).

Responsibilities

• Collect, clean, and analyze large datasets on fleet telematics, fuel use, maintenance, and driver performance.
• Develop dashboards and reports to track KPIs like cost per mile and fuel efficiency.
• Identify trends and opportunities to reduce costs and improve fleet utilization.
• Build predictive models for maintenance needs and vehicle failures to minimize downtime.
• Present findings to senior management and collaborate with IT/ops teams.
