Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Fleet Operations Analyst for a fully remote role across South Africa. You will analyze fleet data, build dashboards, monitor KPIs on fuel use, route efficiency, and driver performance, and collaborate with dispatch to drive cost reductions.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s in Logistics or Data Analytics, are proficient in Excel, SQL, Power BI or Tableau, and have remote-work experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• Proven experience in fleet/logistics analytics.
• Strong Excel, SQL, and data-visualization tools proficiency.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.
• Experience working remotely is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collect, analyze, and interpret data related to fleet operations (mileage, fuel, driver behavior, maintenance).
• Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to track KPIs for fleet efficiency and safety.
• Identify patterns and trends in data to pinpoint improvements and cost reductions.
• Propose data-driven strategies for route optimization, load balancing, and utilization.
• Monitor driver performance data to support training and development initiatives.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of new technologies or changes within the fleet.
• Collaborate with managers and dispatch teams to implement improvements.
• Ensure data accuracy across reporting platforms.
• Stay updated on fleet management best practices and technologies.
• Prepare presentations and reports for stakeholders.
