Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer to manage and enhance cloud infrastructure, supporting a variety of projects from Richards Bay. This remote-first role emphasizes collaboration across distributed teams, automating operations, and building deployment, monitoring, and tooling to improve reliability.

You will work with Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform/Ansible, Prometheus, Grafana, and CI/CD with Jenkins or GitLab.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years in a DevOps or SRE role with cloud experience.
• Proficiency with scripting languages: Python, Bash, PowerShell.
• Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage scalable cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps).
• Implement IaC with Terraform or Ansible.
• Monitor performance, troubleshoot, and ensure high availability.
• Collaborate with dev teams to optimize deployments across environments.
