Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a proficient Remote Financial Accountant to join our client’s team, operating entirely from a remote location within South Africa. You will ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficiency of financial reporting, while collaborating effectively in a virtual environment.

The role requires a strong IFRS knowledge, 5+ years of experience in financial accounting, and proficiency with QuickBooks, Xero, and Excel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• CA(SA) or CIMA preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of financial accounting experience.
• Strong IFRS knowledge and application.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements per IFRS.
• Manage and maintain the general ledger; reconcile accounts.
• Process and record transactions including journal entries and accruals.
• Support financial analysis including variance and trend analysis.
• Assist with external audits by preparing schedules and documents.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
