Remote Finance Assistant — Xero, Payroll & Reporting

Job summary

Talent Shore, a specialist education staffing agency, seeks a Finance Assistant based in South Africa. You will manage daily finance tasks, payroll, and credit control for multiple UK teams, with a UK-time workday.

You will work remotely, using Xero, Excel, and Microsoft 365 to keep books accurate, process invoices, and support monthly reporting and VAT compliance. Experience in recruitment finance is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Proven finance assistant or similar role.
• Proficient in Xero for invoicing, reconciliations and reporting.
• Experience with VAT and payroll processes is beneficial.
• Strong communication with clients and suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate records in Xero including daily bank reconciliations.
• Process invoices and credit notes; manage accounts payable.
• Run weekly payroll and reconcile timesheets; handle staff commissions.
• Produce periodic financial reports, cashflow and gross margin analysis.
• Support year-end accounts and VAT submissions; assist with audits.
