Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a remote Fibre Deployment Specialist with strong fibre optics background to plan, coordinate, and oversee multi-region deployments. You will drive quality, safety, and efficiency while managing timelines and resources from a distance.

Ideal candidates have a Diploma or Degree in a technical field and at least 5 years in fibre deployment and project management. Remote coordination with field teams and stakeholders is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in fibre optic network deployment and project management.
• Strong knowledge of fibre optic technologies, splicing, testing and termination techniques.
• Experience in coordinating projects remotely and managing field operations.

Responsibilities

• Plan and manage end-to-end deployment of fibre optic networks including site surveys, design, and installation oversight.
• Coordinate with field teams, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure timelines and objectives are met.
• Ensure adherence to fibre optic installation standards, safety regulations, and quality control procedures.
• Monitor project progress, identify risks or delays, and implement corrective actions.
• Manage project documentation including reports, permits, and as-built drawings.
• Provide technical guidance and support to field technicians and project teams.
