- Process, invert, and interpret large geophysical datasets to generate 3D models of subsurface structures and potential orebodies.
- Integrate geophysical data with geological, geochemical, and drilling information to build robust exploration models.
- Develop and apply advanced geophysical data processing and inversion algorithms.
- Conduct quantitative risk assessment for exploration targets based on geophysical evidence.
- Prepare detailed technical reports, maps, and presentations for internal stakeholders and potential investors.
- Collaborate effectively with a geographically dispersed team of geologists, geophysicists, and project managers.
- Stay abreast of the latest advancements in geophysical instrumentation, software, and exploration methodologies.
- Provide technical guidance and support to exploration teams in the field, remotely.
- Contribute to the strategic planning of exploration programs and target generation.
Requirements
- Master's or Ph.D. degree in Geophysics, Physics, or a related quantitative science.
- A minimum of 6 years of hands-on experience in mineral exploration geophysics.
- Expertise in at least two major geophysical methods (e.g., EM, magnetics, gravity, seismics) and their application to mineral systems.
- Advanced proficiency in geophysical software packages (e.g., Geosoft Oasis Montaj, Maxwell, Voxi, Syscal).
- Strong programming skills (e.g., Python, MATLAB) for data processing and analysis are highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret complex geophysical data and translate findings into actionable exploration recommendations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to present technical information clearly and concisely.
- Self-motivated, disciplined, and capable of working independently in a remote setting.
- Proven experience working with large, multi-disciplinary datasets.
- A passion for discovery and a commitment to continuous learning in the field of geophysics.
