Placements24 is seeking a highly skilled Remote Exploration Geologist to contribute to mineral exploration initiatives from a remote location, guiding strategies with data analytics and modeling. The role supports global projects, enabling work from anywhere with no on-site requirement in Richards Bay.

The candidate should have a strong independence, exceptional analytical skills, and a passion for identifying new mineral deposits through remote techniques and collaborative, virtual teamwork.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Geology or related earth science.
• 6+ years of mineral exploration experience with data analysis.
• Proficiency in geological modeling software, GIS, and remote sensing tools.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple remote projects.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for virtual collaboration.
• Understanding of exploration lifecycles and geological risk assessment.

Responsibilities

• Analyze geological, geochemical, and geophysical data to identify targets.
• Use remote sensing and GIS for regional mapping and target delineation.
• Develop and refine exploration models based on data interpretation.
• Collaborate with project managers and field teams to plan remote data acquisition.
• Prepare technical reports, presentations, and recommendations for programs.
• Stay updated on remote exploration technologies and methods.
