Job summary

Placements24 seeks a highly qualified Remote Environmental Compliance Officer to join our client’s team, operating from Mahikeng. The role develops, implements, and monitors environmental compliance strategies across the organization virtually, ensuring adherence to laws and regulations and advising on best practices to minimize impact.

You will conduct remote assessments, manage permits, provide training, and stay current with evolving legislation and industry standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Law, Engineering, or related field.
• Proven experience in environmental compliance, auditing, or regulatory affairs, preferably in a remote capacity.
• In-depth knowledge of national and international environmental laws and regulations.
• Strong analytical, research, and reporting skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for virtual collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement environmental compliance policies and procedures.
• Conduct remote audits and assessments to ensure adherence to environmental regulations.
