Job summary
Placements24 in Polokwane is seeking an Environmental Engineer to support projects across Limpopo, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and the promotion of sustainable practices.
You will perform EIAs and EMPs, assess risks, monitor regulatory compliance, advise clients on legislation, develop waste management plans, and prepare technical reports, with flexible remote work and growth opportunities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental or Civil Engineering (or related field).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in environmental consulting or management.
- Knowledge of South African environmental legislation (e.g., NEMA) and permitting processes.
- Experience with environmental modeling and monitoring techniques.
- Strong report writing and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
Responsibilities
- Conduct EIAs and Environmental Management Plans (EMPs).
- Assess environmental risks and develop mitigation strategies for development projects.
- Monitor environmental compliance and perform site audits.
- Advise clients on environmental legislation and sustainable practices.
- Develop and implement waste management and pollution control plans.
- Prepare technical reports and presentations for clients and authorities.
