Placements24 is seeking a data-driven Energy Trading Analyst to join a fully remote trading desk. You will analyze market data, develop trading strategies, and execute trades across energy commodities such as power and natural gas, optimizing positions and profitability from your home office.

The role requires strong quantitative skills, knowledge of energy markets, and the ability to make rapid, informed decisions in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or related quantitative field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in energy trading, financial analysis, or quantitative trading.
• Strong understanding of energy markets and associated derivatives.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools (Python, R, SQL).

Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze energy commodity markets, including price movements, supply/demand fundamentals, and geopolitical factors.
• Develop and refine quantitative trading strategies based on market insights and risk parameters.
• Execute trades across energy markets, managing positions and ensuring efficient settlement.
• Conduct post-trade analysis to evaluate performance and report on trading activities.
• Manage trading risk, including market exposure, credit risk, and operational risk.
• Collaborate with risk management and back-office teams to ensure accurate trade processing.
