Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an Energy Systems Analyst to join a fully remote team. The role focuses on analyzing large energy datasets, building models, and delivering data-driven recommendations to improve efficiency and reliability in energy systems.

You will work with Python/R/MATLAB, develop simulations, and present findings to stakeholders. A Master’s degree and 4+ years of experience in energy analytics are required, along with strong communication skills and remote collaboration capability.

Qualifications

• Master's degree required in a quantitative field (Engineering/Data Science/Economics).
• 4+ years in energy systems analysis, data modeling or related analytics role.
• Proficiency in Python/R/MATLAB for data analysis and modeling.
• Strong understanding of energy markets, power systems, and renewables.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Collect, clean, and analyze large energy datasets (generation, consumption, grid performance).
• Develop and maintain simulation models to assess impacts of technologies and policies.
• Identify trends and opportunities to improve energy system efficiency and reliability.
• Prepare reports and presentations for stakeholders with actionable insights.
• Collaborate with engineering and planning teams to inform data-driven decisions.
• Stay updated on energy tech advances and analytic methods.
