Placements24 is seeking an experienced Remote Employment Lawyer to provide expert legal counsel on all employment matters across South Africa, including the Free State region. The role is fully remote, offering autonomy and the ability to shape employment policies from home.

You will advise on compliance with Labor Relations Act, BCEA, and EEA, draft contracts, and represent the company in CCMA and related forums. The position emphasizes professional development and flexible working hours.

Qualifications

• Admitted Attorney with at least 6 years in employment law.
• Extensive knowledge of Labour Relations Act, BCEA, EEA.
• Experience representing employers in labour disputes.
• Strong drafting and advisory skills.
• Ability to work autonomously in a fully remote role.

Responsibilities

• Advise on all SA employment law aspects including recruitment and termination.
• Draft and update employment contracts, policies, procedures.
• Represent the company in CCMA, bargaining councils, and labour court matters.
• Provide guidance on disciplinary actions and performance management.
• Train HR and management on employment law updates.
• Monitor labour legislation changes affecting the workforce.
