Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly specialized Remote Employment Law Specialist to provide expert guidance on SA labor law from a remote setting. You will advise on contracts, policies, and compliance, supporting a diverse workforce across South Africa.

Admitted Attorney with 6+ years of Employment Law experience is required. You will handle disciplinary inquiries, CCMA disputes, policy reviews, and risk assessments, while training HR teams and staying current with legislation.

Qualifications

• Admitted Attorney with 6+ years of Employment Law experience.
• In-depth knowledge of SA labor legislation including LRA, BCEA, EEA, OHSA.
• Proven experience handling employment disputes and providing strategic advice.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for effective remote collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert advice on employment contracts, policies, and compliance with LRA and BCEA.
• Manage disciplinary inquiries, grievance procedures, and CCMA/Bargaining Council disputes.
• Review and update HR policies and employment agreements for compliance and best practices.
• Conduct legal risk assessments related to employment matters and recommend mitigation strategies.
• Train HR personnel and management on employment law updates and best practices.
• Stay abreast of legislative changes and evolving case law in employment law.
