Placements24 is seeking an Electrical Design Specialist for a fully remote role, focused on conceptualization, design, and documentation of electrical control systems for diverse industrial clients. You will lead detailed schematics, wiring diagrams, and BOMs, while collaborating with a distributed team.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in electrical design, strong CAD skills (AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN), and a solid understanding of PLCs, networking, and VFDs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years hands-on experience in electrical control system design.
• Proficiency in electrical CAD software (AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN or similar).
• Strong understanding of PLC programming concepts, industrial networking, and VFDs.
• Experience with specifying industrial components and integration.

Responsibilities

• Develop electrical schematics, panel layouts, and wiring diagrams for industrial automation projects using CAD software.
• Specify electrical components including PLCs, HMIs, MCCs, and instrumentation.
• Conduct feasibility studies and prepare design proposals for client projects.
• Collaborate with project managers, software engineers, and clients via virtual tools.
• Ensure designs comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and client specs.
• Troubleshoot and provide remote technical support during development and commissioning.
• Prepare BOMs and technical documentation for manufacturing and installation.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of design processes and standards.
