Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the electrical design and development of complex automation systems, including robotic cells and integrated manufacturing lines.
• Define electrical system architectures, schematic diagrams, PCB layouts, and wiring harnesses.
• Select and specify electrical components, including motors, servos, PLCs, sensors, and power supplies.
• Oversee the integration of electrical systems with mechanical and software components.
• Mentor and guide a team of electrical design engineers, providing technical direction and support.
• Develop and maintain electrical design standards, documentation, and best practices.
• Collaborate closely with product management, mechanical engineering, and software teams throughout the product lifecycle.
• Conduct design reviews, risk assessments, and validation testing.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex electrical and control system issues.
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies and trends in automation and electrical design.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in electrical design, with at least 3 years in a leadership or lead engineer role.
• Proven experience in designing complex electrical systems for automation, robotics, or industrial machinery.
• Expertise in schematic capture tools (e.g., Altium Designer, Cadence) and PCB layout.
• Strong knowledge of control systems, PLCs, microcontrollers, and embedded systems.
• Familiarity with industry standards (e.g., IEC 61508, ISO 13849) for functional safety.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills for effective remote team management.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a remote setting.
• Experience with simulation tools and firmware development is a plus.
