Placements24 is seeking a Remote Electrical Design Specialist to join its fully remote engineering team. You will design robust electrical systems and embedded boards for innovative products from your home office, collaborating with colleagues across time zones.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering and 5+ years of experience with Altium Designer or Cadence Allegro, plus strong analog/digital and power electronics skills, and excellent remote communication.

About the Role

Our client is seeking an innovative and detail-oriented Remote Electrical Design Specialist to join their fully remote engineering department. This position focuses on the development and refinement of electrical designs for a range of cutting-edge products. You will work independently from your home office, collaborating digitally with teams across different time zones to bring complex electrical solutions to fruition. Key Responsibilities

• Conceptualize and design robust electrical systems and circuit boards for new product development.
• Perform detailed design work, including schematic capture, layout, and component selection.
• Conduct simulations and analyses to verify design performance and ensure compliance with specifications.
• Collaborate remotely with cross-functional teams, including mechanical, software, and product management, to achieve project goals.
• Create and maintain thorough technical documentation , including design specifications, test plans, and assembly instructions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve electrical design issues encountered during prototyping and production phases.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in electrical design, with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
• Proficiency in industry-standard CAD tools such as Altium Designer, Cadence Allegro, or similar.
• Solid understanding of analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuit design principles.
• Experience with power electronics and embedded systems design.
• Excellent communication skills and proven ability to work effectively in a remote setting.
