Job summary

Placements24 is recruiting an Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Specialist for a fully remote role focused on energy projects. You will develop, implement and monitor EHS programs, conduct risk assessments, and train project teams to uphold regulatory and company safety standards.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science or related field, at least five years in EHS, and certifications such as NEBOSH or CSP are advantageous.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years in EHS management, preferably in energy or construction.
• In-depth knowledge of EHS regulations and standards.
• Experience in risk assessments, safety procedures, and incident investigations.
• Strong remote communication and training capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage EHS programs for energy projects.
• Conduct site inspections and audits for compliance with regulations and policies.
• Identify hazards, assess risks, and create mitigation and emergency plans.
• Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions.
• Provide EHS training to project teams, contractors and stakeholders.
• Maintain EHS records and prepare regulatory reports.
• Stay updated on evolving EHS legislation and best practices.
