Our client, a prominent national charity organization dedicated to environmental conservation, is seeking an exceptional Remote Donor Relations Specialist. This fully remote position is ideal for an experienced professional passionate about philanthropy and building lasting relationships with supporters. You will be responsible for cultivating and deepening relationships with individual donors, foundations, and corporate partners, ensuring their continued engagement and support for our client's vital mission. Operating from anywhere within South Africa, you will leverage digital communication tools to connect with donors and articulate the impact of their contributions. Key Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of donors, developing personalized engagement strategies to foster long-term relationships.
• Communicate regularly with donors via email, phone calls, and video conferencing to share updates, impact stories, and acknowledgements.

Requirements

• Proven experience in donor relations, fundraising, or a related role within the **Charity & Voluntary** sector, ideally with a significant portion of remote work experience.
• Demonstrated success in cultivating and maintaining donor relationships.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives.
• Proficiency in using CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, Raiser's Edge) for donor management.
• Experience with digital communication tools for remote collaboration and engagement.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively from a remote setting.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• A deep understanding of fundraising principles and best practices.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; professional certifications in fundraising are a plus.
• Reside within South Africa, able to work standard business hours for the Gauteng region, and comfortable with a remote-first environment.
