About the Role

Our client, a renowned international non-profit organization with a strong presence in Richards Bay, KwaZulu-Natal, ZA, is seeking an experienced and dedicated Donor Relations Manager. This is a critical, fully remote position responsible for cultivating, nurturing, and expanding relationships with individual donors, foundations, and corporate partners. The ideal candidate possesses exceptional communication, interpersonal, and strategic relationship-building skills, with a proven history of success in donor stewardship and fundraising. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive donor stewardship plan to ensure consistent engagement and retention of existing donors.
• Manage a portfolio of individual donors, cultivating relationships through personalized communication, timely acknowledgments, and impact reporting.
• Identify and research prospective major donors, foundations, and corporate partners, developing tailored cultivation and solicitation strategies.
• Organize and execute donor engagement events (virtual and potentially in-person), including webinars, appreciation events, and informational sessions.
• Collaborate with the communications team to create compelling donor communications, including newsletters, impact reports, and personalized appeals.
• Oversee the donor database, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records of donor interactions and contributions.
• Track donor metrics and provide regular reports on donor retention, acquisition, and overall revenue performance.
• Work closely with the fundraising team to align donor relations efforts with overall organizational fundraising goals.
• Represent the organization with professionalism and passion to donors and stakeholders.
• Stay informed about best practices in donor relations and fundraising management.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in donor relations, stewardship, or fundraising management, preferably within the non-profit sector.
• Demonstrated success in cultivating and maintaining relationships with individual donors and institutional funders.
• Exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Proficiency in donor management software (e.g., Salesforce, Raiser's Edge) and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Proven ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and thrive in a remote work environment.
• A deep understanding of and commitment to the mission of our client.
• Experience working with international organizations or diverse donor bases is a plus.
• Familiarity with the KwaZulu-Natal, ZA region is advantageous.
