Placements24 is seeking a highly motivated Remote DevOps Engineer to join a fast-paced technology team in a fully remote role in South Africa. You will design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure, automate deployment pipelines, and ensure scalable, reliable applications.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years in DevOps/SRE, strong cloud experience (AWS/Azure/GCP), and expertise in IaC, CI/CD, and container orchestration with Kubernetes or Docker Swarm.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in a DevOps or SRE role with cloud focus.
• Proven experience with major cloud providers (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Go.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI).
• Experience with container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes or Docker Swarm.
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation).
• Strong understanding of networking concepts and cloud security.
• Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Effective communication and collaboration in a remote setting.

Responsibilities
