Placements24 is seeking a Remote Distributed Energy Resources Specialist to join a forward-thinking energy team. The role centers on planning, analysis, and deployment of solar PV, battery storage, and microgrids, with a focus on optimizing grid performance and reliability in a fully remote setting.

You will model DER impacts, develop deployment roadmaps, and collaborate with utilities, regulators, and technology providers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in distributed energy resources, microgrids, or power system planning.
• Solid understanding of solar PV, battery storage, EV charging, and other DER technologies.
• Experience with power system modeling and simulation software.
• Knowledge of utility regulations and DER market structures.

Responsibilities

• Analyze the technical and economic feasibility of DER integration projects.
• Develop deployment strategies and roadmaps for various DER technologies.
• Model the impact of DERs on grid operations and stability.
• Collaborate with utility partners, regulators, and technology providers.
• Ensure compliance with relevant standards, policies, and interconnection requirements for DERs.
• Prepare technical reports, presentations, and project documentation for stakeholders.
