Placements24 is seeking a highly analytical Data Scientist to join a fully remote team focused on advanced analytics in the Oil & Gas sector. You will build predictive models using large datasets from exploration, production, and operations to drive data-informed decisions.

Responsibilities include developing ML models for production forecasting, anomaly detection, and maintenance, while collaborating with geoscientists and engineers worldwide.

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Data Scientist in Oil & Gas.
• Proficiency in Python or R and ML libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement ML models for production forecasting, anomaly detection, and predictive maintenance.
• Analyze seismic data, well logs, production volumes, and operational parameters.
• Design experiments to test hypotheses and validate model performance.
