Placements24 is seeking a skilled Data Analyst to join its operations team. The role is fully remote, within South Africa, focusing on datasets from oil and gas exploration, production, and operations.

You will translate data into actionable insights, identify trends, and support decisions to boost efficiency and performance. The ideal candidate has a data-driven mindset, strong skills in SQL, Python/R, and data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field is required.
• Proven experience as a Data Analyst, preferably in oil & gas.
• Proficiency with SQL, Python (Pandas/NumPy) or R.
• Experience with Tableau or Power BI for dashboards.
• Strong statistical analytics and data modeling skills.
• Excellent remote communication and presentation abilities.

Responsabilités

• Collect, clean, and organize large datasets from oil & gas sources.
• Develop data analysis models to identify trends and anomalies.
• Create dashboards and reports for KPIs for management.
• Collaborate with engineering and operations to interpret data.
• Apply statistical methods and data mining to uncover patterns.
• Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and security.
