Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly analytical Data Analyst to join a fully remote team focused on energy markets and analytics. You will leverage large datasets to identify trends, generate insights, and support strategic decision-making across the organization.

Collaborate with trading, planning, and operations to deliver data-driven recommendations from anywhere in the world. The role requires 3+ years of experience, strong SQL/Python/R skills, and experience with Tableau or Power BI.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Data Analyst or in a similar analytical role.
• Proficiency in data manipulation and analysis tools such as SQL, Python (Pandas, NumPy), or R.
• Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms.
• Strong understanding of statistical concepts and analytical methodologies.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to present complex data clearly and concisely in a remote setting.

Responsibilities

• Collect, clean, and analyze large datasets related to energy consumption, market prices, and production.
• Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to visualize KPIs and trends for stakeholders.
• Identify patterns, anomalies, and opportunities within the data to provide actionable insights and recommendations.
• Collaborate with technical and business teams to understand data needs and deliver tailored analytical solutions.
• Utilize statistical methods and data mining techniques to uncover deeper insights into market behavior and operational efficiency.
