Job summary

Tlc Worldwide in South Africa seeks a Data Acquisition Specialist - External Data (Remote/Homebased) to define, set up and ingest external data streams for clinical trials.

You will work with ECG, imaging, EHR, wearables, SDTM knowledge, and ensure data transfer agreements and compliance with GCP/ICH.

Collaboration with data stakeholders across regions enables fast start-up timelines and robust data capture processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent, preferably in Computer Science.
• Minimum 3 years' experience managing data in clinical research.
• Experience with external data sources (ECG, imaging, EHR, wearables).
• Experience developing data transfer agreements.
• Knowledge of SDTM and GCP/ICH guidelines.
• Excellent written and verbal English.

Responsibilities

• Execute deliverables for Standardized External Data Streams.
• Assess external data collection requirements per protocol and plan setup activities.
• Liaise with data stakeholders to define data transfer and structure per data model.
• Create change requests for new test concepts or data structures.
• Develop trial-specific Data Transfer Agreements documenting requirements.
• Ensure data transfer frequencies meet study start-up timelines.
• Translate medical concepts into data mapping guidance for programmers.
• UAT of test data transfers to match data specifications.
• Implement data transfer mechanisms for external streams into the data repository.
• Monitor availability and accuracy of external data streams and resolve issues.
