Job summary

IQVIA is seeking a Data Acquisition Specialist - External Data (Remote/Homebased) to define, set up and ingest external data streams for clinical studies. Responsibilities include coordinating with data stakeholders, creating tsDTAs and ensuring compliant data transfer processes across diverse data sources, including ECG, lab data, and EHRs.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree and at least 3 years of clinical data management experience, with knowledge of SDTM and GCP/ICH guidelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent, preferably in Computer Science.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience managing data in clinical research.
• Experience with external data e.g., Safety Lab, PK, ECG, biomarkers.
• Experience with external data providers within a clinical study setting.
• Experience developing data transfer agreements.
• Experience working on clinical trials.
• Experience working in diverse, cross-functional teams.
• Knowledge of SDTM.
• Working knowledge of GCP/ICH guidelines.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication.

Responsibilities

• Execute deliverables for Standardized External Data Streams.
• Assess external data collection requirements per protocol and planning of external data stream set-up activities.
• Liaise with key data stakeholders to establish the data transfer requirements and structure.
• Create change requests for new data concepts or data structures.
• Develop trial-specific Data Transfer Agreements documenting study requirements and transfer methods.
• Ensure data transfer frequencies meet agreed requirements.
• Liaise with external data providers to align tsDTA.
• Translate medical concepts into data mapping guidance in the annotated DTA.
• UAT of test data transfers to ensure accuracy and conformance with data specifications.
• Implement data transfer mechanisms for external data streams into the data repository.
• Monitor availability and accuracy of external data streams and resolve transfer issues.
