Job summary

IQVIA in South Africa seeks a Data Acquisition Specialist for external data streams, focused on definition, setup and ingestion in line with protocol requirements. This remote/homebased role collaborates with clinical data stakeholders to map data and ensure compliant transfer and storage.

You will develop data transfer agreements, oversee data transfer frequencies, and coordinate with external data providers across diverse trial settings, SDTM and GCP/ICH guidelines.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years' experience managing data in support of clinical research.
• Experience working with external data e.g., Safety Lab, PK, Simple Biomarkers, ECG.
• Experience developing data transfer agreements.
• Experience working on clinical trials.
• Knowledge of SDTM.
• Working knowledge of GCP/ICH guidelines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English.

Responsibilities

• Define, set-up and ingest External Data Streams aligned with protocol requirements.
• Assess external data collection requirements and plan setup activities to meet study start-up timelines.
• Liaise with data stakeholders to establish data transfer needs and structure per data streams and data protection laws.
• Create change requests for new test concepts or data structures for external data.
• Develop trial-specific Data Transfer Agreements documenting study requirements and methods.
• Ensure data transfer frequencies meet approved requirements (medical data review, central monitoring, reporting).
• Coordinate with external data providers to align and agree tsDTA.
