Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly skilled Remote Cybersecurity Analyst to safeguard energy infrastructure. This fully remote role focuses on monitoring, detecting, and responding to threats that could affect OT and IT systems.

You will work from anywhere, leveraging SIEM tools like Splunk or QRadar, conduct threat hunting, IR, and implement security controls. A Bachelor's in CS or Cybersecurity and 3+ years of experience are required; certifications welcomed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity or related field.
• 3+ years in cybersecurity analysis, incident response or threat intelligence.
• Proficiency with SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar), EDR and network monitoring.
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, network protocols and attack vectors.
• OT security experience preferred.
• Certifications such as Security+, CEH or CISSP are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security alerts and logs from SIEM, IDS/IPS and endpoint protection to identify threats.
• Conduct threat hunting and vulnerability assessments to mitigate risk.
• Investigate incidents, perform forensics, and craft incident response plans.
• Implement and manage security controls to protect critical infrastructure and data assets.
• Develop and maintain security policies, procedures and documentation.
• Collaborate with IT and OT teams to ensure comprehensive security coverage.
