Placements24 is seeking an Information Security Analyst for a fully remote role. You will monitor SIEM systems, investigate security events, and lead incident response across a global client base. The position emphasizes threat analysis, vulnerability assessments, and ongoing security improvements.

The role requires 2–4 years in information security, strong knowledge of Windows/Linux, and familiarity with NIST CSF / ISO 27001. Remote work with global collaboration is offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 2–4 years in information security operations, incident response, or threat analysis.
• Hands-on with SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar, LogRhythm) and security monitoring solutions.
• Strong networking, OS (Windows/Linux) knowledge and common attack vectors.
• Familiarity with NIST CSF and ISO 27001; excellent analytical and communication skills.
• Self-motivated, able to work independently in a remote setting; Python a plus.
• Security+ or CySA+ desirable.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems for potential security threats and incidents.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Proven experience (2-4 years) in information security operations, incident response, or threat analysis.
• Hands-on experience with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar, LogRhythm) and other security monitoring solutions.
• Strong understanding of networking protocols, operating systems (Windows, Linux), and common attack vectors.
• Familiarity with security frameworks and best practices (e.g., NIST CSF, ISO 27001).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to document technical findings clearly.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision in a remote setting.
• Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python) is a plus.
• Relevant security certifications (e.g., Security+, CySA+) are desirable.
