Qualifications

• Admitted Attorney of the High Court of South Africa.
• Minimum of 5 years post-qualification experience in corporate and commercial law.
• Proven experience drafting and negotiating complex contracts, particularly in the tech sector.
• Strong understanding of corporate governance principles and company law.
• Experience with cross-border transactions and international compliance is advantageous.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to work remotely with multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal advice on corporate governance, board resolutions, and shareholder matters.
• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements (SaaS, NDAs, partnerships).
• Ensure compliance with corporate laws and regulations in relevant jurisdictions.
• Assist with corporate structuring, reorganizations, and transactional matters.
• Conduct legal research on international business laws and compliance requirements.
• Support the legal department in managing contracts and corporate records.
• Collaborate with Finance, HR, Product on legal matters.
• Manage relationships with external counsel as needed for specialized advice.
• Contribute to development and implementation of internal compliance policies.
• Monitor legal and regulatory developments impacting operations.
