Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an accomplished Remote Corporate Communications Lead to shape and execute strategic communications from anywhere in South Africa. You will steer external and internal messaging, PR, and crisis plans to protect and elevate the company’s reputation while engaging employees across the organization.

The role requires a Master’s degree and 10+ years in corporate comms, with strong leadership and remote-management capabilities.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in communications or related field.
• 10+ years in corporate communications or leadership roles.
• Crisis communications and reputation management experience.
• Proven ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships including media, investors, and employees.
• Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute integrated corporate communication strategies aligned with the company’s mission, vision, and values.
• Oversee external communications including media relations, press releases, and stakeholder engagement.
• Lead internal communications to inform, engage, and align employees with company goals.
• Manage the company’s reputation and proactive/reactive crisis communication plans.
• Serve as a spokesperson and manage relationships with media and external stakeholders.
• Craft compelling narratives and ensure consistent brand messaging across channels.
• Collaborate with executives to develop strategic communication plans for major initiatives.
• Monitor communication effectiveness and employee feedback, implementing improvements.
• Manage external agencies and consultants and ensure regulatory and ethical standards.
