Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Corporate Communications Specialist to join a growing team. The role is fully remote and serving the Durban, KwaZulu-Natal region, focusing on internal and external communications across platforms to maintain a consistent brand voice.

You will craft engaging content, manage media relations, and support events while collaborating with multiple departments in a remote environment. The ideal candidate has strong writing, planning, and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, English or related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in corporate communications, public relations or similar role.
• Proven ability to write engaging content for diverse audiences across platforms.
• Experience with social media management tools and platforms.
• Familiarity with media monitoring and analysis.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects remotely.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute communication plans for corporate initiatives.
• Write, edit, and proofread press releases, website copy, social posts, internal memos, and newsletters.
• Manage and update company social media channels ensuring brand consistency.
• Assist in media relations strategies.
• Monitor media coverage and social conversations related to the company.
• Support planning and execution of corporate events and campaigns.
• Collaborate with internal departments to gather information and ensure accuracy.
• Maintain media contacts databases and mailing lists.
• Contribute to crisis communication protocols.
• Ensure all communications align with brand guidelines and values.
