Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a detail-oriented Remote Construction Scheduler to support projects with operations in the Upington area. In this fully remote role, you will develop, maintain, and optimize detailed construction schedules using Primavera P6 or MS Project, coordinating with project teams from a distance.

About the Role

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Remote Construction Scheduler to support their projects, with a particular focus on operations in the Upington area. In this fully remote role, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing detailed construction schedules using advanced planning software. Your expertise will be critical in ensuring efficient project timelines, coordinating activities, and proactively identifying potential delays to keep projects on track, all while working from your remote location.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain comprehensive construction project schedules using industry-standard software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project).
• Collaborate closely with project managers, site supervisors, and contractors to gather information for schedule development and updates.
• Monitor project progress against the baseline schedule, identifying variances and potential risks to timely completion.
• Prepare regular schedule updates, performance reports, and look-ahead schedules for project stakeholders.
• Analyze the impact of changes and scope adjustments on the overall project timeline and suggest adjustments as needed.
• Facilitate remote scheduling meetings to discuss progress, upcoming activities, and any potential conflicts or delays.

Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years of experience as a Construction Scheduler or Planner.
• Proficiency with construction scheduling software such as Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project.
• Strong understanding of construction processes, sequencing, and critical path analysis.
