Job summary

Limpopo Economic Development Agency is seeking a Remote Construction Materials Procurement Specialist to source, negotiate, and procure construction materials for projects across various locations, including Richards Bay, in a fully remote role.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in SCM or related field with at least 5 years of procurement experience in construction, strong negotiation and supplier management skills, and proficiency with procurement software and digital collaboration

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of procurement experience in construction.
• Proven ability to negotiate and manage supplier relationships.
• Proficiency with procurement software and digital collaboration tools.
• Excellent organizational and analytical skills; detail-oriented.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting.

Responsibilities

• Identify and source reliable suppliers for construction materials with competitive pricing and quality.
• Negotiate contracts and pricing to achieve cost savings and favorable terms.
• Manage procurement from requisition to delivery, coordinating logistics and schedules.
• Maintain records of purchases, supplier performance, and inventory via digital systems.
• Collaborate with project managers and site teams remotely to understand material requirements.
• Monitor market trends and identify cost-reduction opportunities.
