About the Role

Our client is looking for a meticulous and forward-thinking Remote Construction Planner to develop and optimize construction schedules for projects in the Upington area and beyond, all from a remote work setting. This role is crucial for ensuring that projects are meticulously planned and that timelines are realistic and achievable, with a strong focus on resource allocation and risk mitigation. You will collaborate closely with project managers and site teams, utilizing advanced planning software to create detailed schedules that drive project efficiency and successful completion, providing critical support without requiring physical presence on site.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and update detailed construction schedules using Primavera P6 or similar software for projects in the Upington region.
• Collaborate with project managers and construction teams to gather information for schedule development and updates.
• Identify potential scheduling conflicts, risks, and opportunities, and recommend proactive solutions.
• Ensure that resource requirements (labour, materials, equipment) are integrated into the construction schedule.
• Prepare regular progress reports and visual aids for management and stakeholders.
• Review and analyze contractor schedules to ensure alignment with overall project objectives.

Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in construction planning and scheduling, preferably in large-scale projects.
• Proficiency in Primavera P6, MS Project, or other advanced scheduling software.
• Strong understanding of construction processes, sequencing, and critical path analysis.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and communicate effectively in a remote team environment.
