Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Community Health Program Manager to lead remote health initiatives across North West province, including Mahikeng. You will plan, implement, and evaluate community health programs while managing a distributed team and engaging stakeholders.

The role requires a Master’s in Public Health or related field, 7+ years in program management with 3+ in leadership, and strong budgeting and data analysis skills to improve outcomes remotely.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Public Health, Health Administration, Community Development, or a related field.
• 7+ years of progressive experience in public health program management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Proven track record of successfully managing complex health programs, preferably in a community setting.
• Strong understanding of public health principles, epidemiology, and health promotion strategies.
• Demonstrated experience in budget management and financial oversight.
• Excellent leadership, team management, and interpersonal skills, especially in a remote context.
• Proficiency with project management software, virtual collaboration tools, and data analysis.
• Strong report writing and presentation skills.
• Ability to think strategically and solve complex problems.
• Must have reliable internet and a dedicated remote workspace.

Responsibilities

• Develop strategic plans and operational frameworks for community health programs.
• Oversee the implementation and day-to-day management of multiple health projects.
• Manage program budgets, ensuring efficient resource allocation and financial accountability.
• Lead, mentor, and supervise a remote team of health professionals and support staff.
• Establish and maintain strong partnerships with government agencies, NGOs, and community stakeholders.
• Develop and implement monitoring and evaluation systems to track program progress and impact.
• Ensure programs are aligned with organizational goals and public health best practices.
• Identify opportunities for program expansion and innovation.
• Prepare regular reports on program activities, outcomes, and challenges for senior leadership.
• Facilitate virtual workshops and training sessions for program staff and community partners.
