The role requires admission as an Attorney of the High Court of South Africa and 6–8 years of post-qualification experience in SA commercial litigation, offering autonomy and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Must be admitted as an Attorney of the High Court of South Africa.
• 6–8 years post-qualification experience with a strong focus on commercial litigation.
• Proven track record in managing complex commercial disputes in South Africa.
• Deep understanding of civil procedure, evidence law, and relevant substantive law.

Responsabilités

• Manage and conduct commercial litigation cases from inception to resolution.
• Develop legal strategies and provide expert advice on litigation matters.
• Draft pleadings, applications, and other court documents.
• Represent the company in negotiations, mediations, arbitrations, and court proceedings.
• Conduct thorough legal research and prepare comprehensive legal opinions.
• Liaise with external counsel, experts, and witnesses.
• Advise on risk management and dispute avoidance strategies.
• Stay abreast of relevant case law and legislative changes impacting commercial litigation.
