Placements24 seeks a remote Civil Design Engineer specializing in stormwater management with 6+ years’ experience. You will design, model, and implement SUDS-enabled systems, ensuring compliance with SA standards while collaborating with a distributed team from your home office.

You will use HEC-RAS, EPANET, and SWMM, and coordinate with project managers and clients remotely. A strong focus on quality, communication, and sustainable urban drainage is essential.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in civil engineering design with focus on stormwater management.
• Proficiency with hydrological and hydraulic modeling software (e.g., HEC-RAS, EPANET, SWMM).
• Solid understanding of Sustainable Urban Drainage Systems (SUDS) principles and design.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and other relevant design software.
• Experience working in a remote or distributed team environment is highly desirable.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Professional registration with ECSA is a significant advantage.

Responsabilidades

• Design and analyze stormwater management systems, including natural and engineered solutions.
• Conduct hydrological and hydraulic modeling to assess runoff, flood risks, and system performance.
• Develop detailed design reports, calculations, drawings, and specifications using industry-standard software.
• Collaborate effectively with remote project managers, clients, and other engineering disciplines via virtual platforms.
• Ensure designs comply with South African national standards, municipal bylaws, and environmental regulations.
• Perform quality control checks on designs and provide remote technical support.
• Research and propose innovative and sustainable approaches to stormwater management.
• Manage project documentation and contribute to the preparation of proposals.
