Job summary

HR Options is seeking a visionary Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) to lead a client’s cybersecurity program. This fully remote role requires strategic oversight of information security strategy, risk management, and regulatory compliance.

You will build and mentor a high-performance security team, manage budgets, engage with executives, legal, and partners, and steer security posture across the organization. A strong strategic mindset and exceptional communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Information Security or related field.
• 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in information security.
• Experience developing and implementing enterprise-wide security strategies.
• Deep understanding of risk management, ISO 27001/NIST, and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive information security strategy aligned with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
• Oversee the implementation and management of all information security policies, procedures, and controls.
• Lead and mentor the information security team, fostering high performance and continuous learning.
• Manage the information security budget and ensure effective resource allocation.
• Establish and maintain relationships with executive leadership, legal, and external partners.
• Oversee incident response planning and execution to minimize impact from breaches.
• Ensure compliance with relevant data privacy laws and industry regulations.
