Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a creative Chemical Research & Development Engineer for a fully remote innovation hub. You will lead experiments, develop scalable chemical processes, and collaborate with cross-functional teams in a virtual setting to push technologies from concept to pilot scale.

The role requires a Master's or Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering, with at least 5 years in chemical R&D, process development, or scale-up, and strong knowledge of organic chemistry and materials science.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering or a closely related scientific field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in chemical research and development, process development, or scale-up.
• Strong foundation in organic chemistry, reaction engineering, and materials science.
• Proficiency with laboratory equipment and analytical techniques (e.g., spectroscopy, chromatography).

Responsibilities

• Conceptualize, design, and execute laboratory experiments to explore new chemical synthesis routes and product applications.
• Develop and optimize chemical processes, ensuring scalability, safety, and economic viability.
• Conduct thorough literature reviews and patent searches to stay at the forefront of chemical innovation.
• Analyze experimental data, interpret results, and prepare comprehensive technical reports and presentations.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams in a virtual setting to advance R&D projects.
• Assist in the scale-up of promising technologies from bench to pilot plant stages.
