Job summary

Placements24 seeks an experienced Remote Chemical Process Engineer to support global operations in upstream and downstream energy processes. The role is fully remote, enabling work from any location while contributing to impactful projects.

You will analyze complex data, develop simulation models, and implement process optimization to improve production, reduce emissions, and ensure safety across diverse energy assets, collaborating with teams across time zones.

Qualifications

• BEng or BSc in Chemical Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years of chemical process engineering experience in energy sector (oil & gas, refining, petrochemicals).
• Expertise in process simulation software (Aspen HYSYS, PRO/II, Aspen Plus).
• Experience in process optimization, debottlenecking, and troubleshooting.
• Strong remote collaboration and project management skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setup and manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and optimize chemical processes within the energy sector (refining, petrochemicals, gas processing).
• Develop and validate process simulation models using industry-standard software.
• Identify opportunities for efficiency improvements, cost reduction, and environmental performance enhancement.
• Provide technical expertise and support for process troubleshooting and debottlenecking remotely.
• Conduct technical reviews of process designs and project proposals.
• Prepare detailed technical reports, presentations, and recommendations for stakeholders.
• Collaborate effectively with global project teams via virtual communication channels.
• Ensure process solutions align with safety, environmental, and economic objectives.
• Stay abreast of technological advancements and best practices in energy process engineering.
