Placements24 is seeking a highly motivated Remote Chemical Process Engineer to support R&D activities. You will design experiments, analyze data, and develop scalable process designs from concept to validation while collaborating with Port Elizabeth-based teams from your home office.

This fully remote role emphasizes strong communication, independent work, and hands-on experience with process simulations and DOE methods to drive innovative solutions in a forward-thinking company.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or PhD in Chemical Engineering.
• 5+ years in process development or related R&D roles.
• Proficiency in Aspen Plus or ChemCAD.
• Strong experience with DOE and data analysis.
• Excellent remote communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and conduct lab and pilot-scale experiments to test new processes.
• Develop process simulations and models to predict performance.
• Analyze experimental data and generate reports with recommendations.
• Contribute to PFDs and P&IDs for scale-up designs.
• Collaborate remotely with R&D teams, guiding feasibility studies.
• Research new technologies applicable to process development.
