Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Remote CAD Engineer to create detailed 3D models, 2D drawings, and assemblies using SolidWorks, Inventor, or CATIA. The role supports multiple projects in a fully remote environment, collaborating with engineers and manufacturers to ensure accuracy and manufacturability.

You will generate BOMs, uphold design standards, and troubleshoot issues across development and production stages, leveraging GD&T and best practices for reliable results.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Design, or a related technical field.
• Proven experience as a CAD Engineer, Drafter, or similar role.
• Expert proficiency in SolidWorks, Inventor, or CATIA.
• Strong understanding of mechanical principles, GD&T, and manufacturing processes.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop and modify complex 3D models and detailed 2D drawings for new and existing products.
• Create and manage assemblies, ensuring proper fit, form, and function of all components.
• Generate Bills of Materials (BOMs) and other manufacturing documentation.
• Collaborate with mechanical engineers, designers, and manufacturing teams in a remote setting.
• Ensure CAD data adheres to company standards and industry best practices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve design-related issues during development and production.
