Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a diligent and analytical Buyer II to join its procurement team. This remote role services Durban operations, handling end-to-end purchasing, supplier negotiation, and inventory considerations.

You will leverage procurement software and Excel to analyze data, prepare orders, and monitor supplier performance, driving cost savings and on-time deliveries for the team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field (Business Administration/SCM) required.
• 2–4 years of purchasing or buying experience.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Source and purchase materials, equipment, and supplies within budgets.
• Negotiate prices, terms, and delivery schedules to achieve cost savings.
• Prepare and issue accurate purchase orders.
• Monitor supplier performance and resolve quality, delivery, or pricing issues.
• Maintain records of purchases and supplier data; manage supplier databases.
