Job summary

Placements24, a prestigious international engineering consultancy, is seeking a Bridge Design Engineer to join their growing team. The role is fully remote, based in Rustenburg, North West, South Africa, and focuses on delivering innovative bridge structures for major infrastructure projects across SA and beyond.

You will lead design and analysis, use MIDAS Civil, RM Bridge and CSI Bridge, and collaborate with global project teams. Pr Eng registration with ECSA is essential.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on Structural/Bridge Engineering.
• Pr Eng registration with ECSA is essential.
• Minimum 10 years of specialized experience in bridge design and project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Lead conceptualization, design, and analysis of bridge types for highways, railways, and pedestrian use.
• Utilize MIDAS Civil, RM Bridge, CSI Bridge for modeling and design.
• Prepare detailed design calculations, drawings, specs, and tender documents.
• Ensure compliance with national and international bridge codes and standards.
• Collaborate with project managers and other disciplines in a virtual environment.
• Provide technical support during construction and review shop drawings.
