Job summary

Fusion Personnel is seeking a Bookkeeper with 2–5 years’ experience in an accounting practice. The role involves bookkeeping to trial balance, VAT returns, payroll support and year-end prep, with a strong focus on accuracy and client liaison.

The candidate should hold Matric and a relevant qualification in Bookkeeping, Accounting or Finance, possess excellent Excel skills, and be able to work independently in a fully remote environment.

Qualifications

• Matric and a relevant bookkeeping/finance qualification.
• Strong Excel and numerical skills are essential.
• Must have 2–5 years of experience in an accounting practice.

Responsibilities

• Bookkeeping to trial balance.
• Process debtors, creditors and cashbooks.
• Prepare bank reconciliations and journal entries.
• Assist with monthly management accounts.
• Prepare and submit VAT returns.
• Support payroll where required.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts.
• Maintain accurate financial records and documentation.
• Liaise with clients regarding accounting queries.
• Assist with year-end preparations and audit requirements.
• Provide support to the Practice Manager and take on supervisory tasks gradually.
