Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Remote Management Accountant to lead financial operations from home. You will develop and analyze management reports, forecasts and budgets, driving performance insights and efficiency in a remote-first setup across South Africa.

The role requires strong expertise in financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and cost accounting, with excellent communication to collaborate with department heads and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience as a Management Accountant or in a similar financial analysis role.
• Expertise in financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting techniques.
• Proficiency with accounting software and advanced Excel capabilities.
• Strong understanding of cost accounting principles and performance metrics.

Responsibilities

• Develop and analyze management reports, financial forecasts, and budgets for operational decision-making.
• Monitor KPIs and provide insights into business trends and variances.
• Evaluate cost structures and identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
• Support strategic planning initiatives with financial modeling and analysis.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and external financial regulations.
• Collaborate with department heads to understand their financial needs and provide relevant support.
