Placements24 is seeking a highly skilled Avionics Systems Engineer for a fully remote role in the aviation tech sector. You will design, integrate, and validate avionics systems for next-generation aircraft, collaborating with a global engineering team using MATLAB/Simulink and industry testing equipment.

Must have a master's or PhD in a related field, 7+ years in avionics, and strong knowledge of ARINC 429 and AFDX; DO-178C/DO-254 experience preferred; excellent communication for remote

Qualifications

• Master's/PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field with avionics specialization.
• 7+ years of experience in avionics systems design and development.
• Experience with avionics system integration, testing, and validation.
• Knowledge of ARINC 429 and AFDX data buses.
• Proficiency with MATLAB/Simulink and testing equipment.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and validate avionics systems, including hardware and software components.
• Specify avionics system requirements and architecture based on aircraft-level objectives.
• Integrate various avionics subsystems into a cohesive system.
• Perform system-level testing, simulation, and troubleshooting of avionics installations.
• Develop and maintain detailed technical documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and user manuals.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams throughout the product lifecycle.
• Analyze system performance and identify areas for improvement and optimization.
• Ensure compliance with aerospace standards and safety regulations (e.g., DO-178C, DO-254).
• Contribute to proposal development and technical reviews.
