Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an Aircraft Avionics Systems Engineer for a remote role with an operational base near Mahikeng, North West. You will design, integrate and test advanced avionics systems across multiple aircraft platforms, ensuring certification readiness and regulatory compliance.

Ideal candidates have 6+ years in avionics, expertise in ARINC 429/664, MIL-STD-1553 and GPS/FMS, and strong MATLAB/Simulink and CAD skills, with the ability to work independently in a remote setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aeronautical, Electrical, Electronic Engineering or related field.
• 6+ years of professional experience in aircraft avionics systems design, integration or testing.
• Expertise with ARINC 429/664, MIL-STD-1553, GPS, FMS, Autopilots and avionics radios.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and integrate avionics systems for various aircraft platforms.
• Analyze requirements and translate into design specifications.
• Perform system testing, troubleshooting and validation for performance.
